Oh yeah, 4 speed eyes in a cover girl frame- went
Christ, it's cold inside outside here.

But we really did have a good time-

just so stereotyped that it no longer hurts.
Even so, there was a time when a meaningless handsqueeze

along with a straight laced smile, for once.

Oh yeah, it gets really bad in this goddamn bottle-

But we had more than a coke with two plastic straws
just warm enough to send me now into an abyss.

Even so, I'll keep right on running backwards
along with a straight laced advance in reverse.

Oh yeah, the mailbox sure is as empty as a virgin now-

But I really won't miss here all that much

just enough to stare at slum kids a little more than usual.
Even so, the shower will still feel· good on my back

along with a bed that won't be quite as comfortable half-empty.

Oh yeah, I can still remember the slam of the car door-
Christ, it's cold inside outside here.

But did I really want the film unspliced right there?
just so messy that I became nauseated.

Even so, you look beautiful there in scarlet-
along with the rusty knife I used to capture you.
