The moon, having gathered her strength;
Invited us to share in her fling
'Mid the stillness of a winter's night.
The night and the moon were ours. to share,
For we had learned their secrets
Through the secrets of love.

We laughed;
We talked,
As we stood atop our hill
And looked out over our countryside.
We laughed again, and then
We clasped hands and ran.

The wind was our brother·
As we sped through the fields-
Fresh with the color of new-grown wheat.
Our shoes were wet, our bodies tired,
But our spirits had gained new strength .
And were amused by the fatigue to our bodtes.

We panted as we spoke,
And we laughed again.

 We reached the woods-our woods-             there.
 And intruded upon the· serenity we found

 The leaves crackled beneath our feet,
And the crispness of the air
Causes us to seek the shelter
.Of each other's arms.

We paused beside a winding stream
To gaze heavenward.
The cottony clouds drifted slowly-
