Your anger is short,

You act like
You know everything,
But I've heard you ask why.
You boast about your happiness,
But I have seen you cry.
You play the part
Of a cold, heartless one,
But I've seen you be kind.
You say that
You don't ever look back,
But I've caught you glancing behind.
You claim that
You're a loner,
But I've seen you crave company.
You blithely state that
You hate hang-ups,
But I've seen you despairing, lonely.

You tell me that
You're putting on the world,
But I wonder if you do.
You claim to know what
You really are,
And I think that that scares you.
