ANDREA BRIGGS, COLLEGE ARCHIVIST & SPECIAL COLLECTIONS LIBRARIAN, presented a poster at the
Spring 2017 Mid-Atlantic Regional Archives Conference on her collaboration with the Art Department and the
Nora Roberts American Romance Collection titled “Fabio! A Work of Art from the Stacks to the Studio.” She also
received an Early Career Librarian Scholarship, sponsored in full by the Congress of Academic Library Directors
of Maryland, to attend the Association of College & Research Libraries’ 2017 Conference.

ELIZABETH DAVIDSON, HEAD OF PUBLIC SERVICES, serves on American Library Association’s Library
Leadership and Management Association’s New Professional Section’s Podcast Team. Presented “Making a Path
and Clearing the Way” at the 2017 ALA Annual Conference in Chicago and co-led the discussion “Rising to
Leadership: Move Out to Move Up?” at the 2017 ALA Midwinter Meeting in Atlanta. She was awarded the
Association of College & Research Libraries’ 2017 Scholarship for full registration cost and travel stipend.

LINDA GARBER, ACQUISITIONS MANAGER, is co-presenting and holding discussions with academic
departments making the transition to Choice Online.

JESSICA GUTACKER (now BARBERA), INFORMATION LITERACY COORDINATOR, serves as co-lead for
the IMLS Grant Initiative developing information literacy instructional activities related to ACRL’s Framework
for Information Literacy for Higher Education.

JANET HACK, SCIENCE & ONLINE TECHNOLOGIES LIBRARIAN, serves on the Library & Information
Technology Association (LITA) Program Planning Committee; on the LITA Forum Planning Committee;
and as a McDaniel College Marshal.

SAMANTHA SCHULTZ, OUTREACH AND EVENING LIBRARIAN, was Master of Ceremonies for the
Battle of the Books program at McDaniel for local private and home-school students.
