ARMYR.O.T.C • The Western Maryland military science program gives students the opportunity to experience military life. They offer a wide variety of activities for students to participate in. Some of these events include: Ranger Challenge, where the Western Maryland team finished first in the 10K ruckrun, the army ten mile run, field training exercises, color guard and indoor soccer. The students that attend these events get the chance to challenge themselves at a higher level. It is hard work but also very rewarding. The upper class students are the leaders of the Western Maryland Battalion. They are called upon to teach mini-classes during labs and to support the rest of the team. All R.O.T.C. members are expected to lead by example. The experience gained from participation in this class and its outside activities offer a student the chance to grow academically and mentally.
