WMC continued its reputation as one of the top teams in the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) as the Green Terrors went 34-7 and made its 17th straight appear- ance in the conference playoffs. A 3-0 loss at Gettysburg late in the season dropped WMC to second in the MAC-Southwest Section with a 4-1 mark, and forced the spikers to open the conference playoffs on the road at Southeast Section champion Muhlenberg. The Green Terrors responded by sweeping the Mules in the quarterfinals 15-9, 15-13, 15-5. WMC advanced to the semifinals against long- time nemesis Juniata, and won the opening game 15- Volleyball Serving It Up 11. However, the Indians bounced back to defeat WMC 15-3, 15-12, 15-10, and went on to beat Upsala in the title match for their 12th consecutive MAC championship. WMC's regular season featured first- place finishes at the Mary Washington and GaUaudet Invitationals, and runner-up honors at the Gettysburg and WMC tnvitafionals e Freshman Laura Everhart and senior co-captain Jen Staub earned spots on the MAC-Southwest AU-Star squad. Staub, who also made the conference AU-Star team in 1991, was second among the Green Terrors in service aces with 54, and was third in kills with 212 and block assists with 30. Everhart, who also received NCAA Division III All-East Region honors, recorded over 1,000 set assists, and added 436 service aces and 241 digs.
