The 1983 WMC Soccer Team ended its season with a 8.8·1 record overall, with 3 wins and 3 losses in the MAC Southwest Conference. The team was primarily led by its talented senior players. Chris Beyers, Carl Holz, John Montanye, John Shia- vone, and Craig Robson all played an important part in the team's success. Junior Bruce Kracke finished the season tied for fifth in MAC scoring with 19 points in 13 games. Junior Goal keeper Mike Kline had a fine season finishing the year with a number of shutouts. Freshman starters Joe Nattans and Steve Luche did an outstanding job filling in spots that were left open from last year. The team has a good balance of players and should be very competitive in the Southwest Conference for several years to come. Freshman Joe Nattans boots a corner kick. 84
