SIGMA SIGMA TAU "The Sigmas" The legend of Sigma Sigma Tau was added to the tales of Arabian Nights this fall, and seventeen new sisters were charmed into the harem. They soon busied themselves with their own service project, plus adding ,/,I~ their energy to the yearly calendar sale for CARE, the candy sale for the Maryland School for the Deaf, and the two big dorm dinners-when Barney's beefy vjr berbeque really tastes pretty good. Arabian gourmet delights were traded for a plate or two of good old spaghetti on Sigma Saturday, when ~ the sisters, united in spirit, did their "thing" for sorority. Sigmas also unite with the bros of Pi Alpha (I Alpha to support an orphan child, to entertain under- I ,,. privileged children at Christmas, and later amuse each other at our own Sigma-Black and White Christ- mas party. Smorgasbord at the Ranch prefaced a lively ~I second semester in which we welcomed two more sisters, turned the Elks into a cafe, and sent the harem to Hawaii for an afternoon of South Pacific fun. From the pledge party at Lee's (yes, Lee'sf], to the Black and White smoker and back to our own club- ~I~ room, the spirit of fun and sisterhood reign high. What- ever it is that Sigmas do they always like it a lot! I. 20. Gloria 2. 21. Lorraine 1. 22. Janet Bearman 4. 23. Janet Houck 5. 24. Dottie Insley b. 25.
