Intramural Sports Intramural sports are a large and integral part of the total campus and athletic life at WMC. The action is fast, the play competitive and often heated, the rivalries bit- ter and the fraternity teams usually tops. The 1968-1969 season is no exception. The Bachelors recaptured the football crown they had lost the previous fall when they came from behind to defeat the Gamma Bete team 6-2. Played in a cold, driving rain the game proved to be every- thing the amazing number of spectators could expect. The intramural football season was promising for the new independent teams, as the new men's dorm fur- nished some excellent clubs. The story in basketball at this point seems to be the same as usual as Alpha Gamma Tau continues its domi- nation. Although not so strong as previous years, the Blue and White team has managed to continue undefeated, the biggest challenge coming from the Gamma Bete team who lost by a 36-31 score. 71
