Science Dedication Week: Science in a Liberal Education Western Maryland alumni, guest speakers, faculty members, parents, and students look a good look at Lewis Hall during the Science Dedication Week held in the fall. All scientific and mathematical organizations participated in getting guest speakers for each evening. Six of the guest speakers were '''~IC graduates who spoke on topics ranging from "Virus-Can- cer Complex" to "Dielectrics." All during the actual day of Convocation, tours were given through Lewis Hall and demo onstrations were performed by various students. Dr. H. Bentley Glass, the Convocation speak. er, climaxed the week with his talk on the topic "Science and a Liberal Education." Thirty. eight representatives from colleges, universities, and learned institutions of the Middle Atlantic Stales were present to commemorate this day.
