The Centennial Expansion Program The ground-breaking for the addition to Lewis Hall (first step in the expansion program) look place in the fall of 1964. It was attended by (1. to T.) Mr. John Cunning. ham (Board of Trustees), Dr. Lowell Ensor (Pres. of W.M.C.), Dr. Harwell Sturdevant (Head of the Biology Department), and Mr. F. Kale Mathias (Board of Trust. ees}. The wing was completed and opened for use in the fall of 1966, giving the four science departments adequate laboratory facilities for the increasing student enrollment. The pride and joy of the entire college is the air-condi- tioned Decker Lecture Hall, equipped with the most modern audio-visual aides. It was named after Alonzo G. Decker, member of the W.M.C. Board of Trustees and President of Black and Decker, Inc. The old wing of Lewis Hall was not forgotten as it underwent an entire refurnishing to make Lewis the most modem classroom facility on campus. «e
