Spring of our last year at 'V.M.C. was a very special and beautiful season. New greenery was accompanied by a burst of energy in every department from art to zoology, and the atmosphere was "lovely." In February came Senior Investiture and a very forceful and meaningful message from surprise speaker, Dr. Theodore M. Whitfield. As each class moved forward one notch, seniors feeling the first pang of being ''hilS beens," resolved to enjoy fully each remaining sunset and sunrise on the "Hill." First on the crowded calendar was the Military Ball with Miss Sue Cossabone .1S queen. March held two Junior productions, the Junior Plays and the Junior-Senior Prom. Beautifully decorated around the Japanese theme, Sayonara, the Juniors wished the Seniors farewell with rhythm and grace. However, that slippery kissing bridge added a slick note of humor to a "favorite" senior custom. May Day arrived with the robins and cardinals. Sunshine accompanied the parade and helped to crown this year's Queen of the May, Miss Leanne Manning. Leanne and her court were It's a sincerely hnppy line ot the President's Reception
