We, the Class of 1959, dedicate this our ALOHAto a professor who is a true architect in our lives. To us he is three persons in one. Our advisor . . . who in his interest in raising campus "tone," academically and socially, has made our senior year more enlightened. Our professor ... who spreads enthu- siasm for his subject and has a store- house of patience and understanding for his students. Our friend ... who enjoys work and makes work enjoyable, who loves fun as well as seeing others have it, and who is never too hurried to talk or to listen. Our professor is a man of stature- physically as well as mentally. He possesses a philosophy which in three short years has given him insight and sympathy with both student and fac- ulty problems. With sincerity he aims for a greater college unity. Indeed, he has participated in both the first An- nual Leadership Conference and the first Faculty Forum. Personality-wise our professor is tops. His warmth becomes evident at picnics on his farm or in work with the Student Christian Association. Aca- demic hurdles become less impossible when he listens and suggests. He even likes to chat about his farm and his family ... his wife, daughter, two sons and a large, white Persian cat. He can be as eloquent on the trials of raising cattle and sheep as on a sociological problem. He has a humor which cuts through life's complexities. With appreciation we, the Class of Dr. Griswold poses his family amid the splendor of the Rocky 1959, dedicate our ALOHAto you, Dr. Mountains. Leonard E. Griswold. 5,;
