FUANK BENJAMIN HURT uu:ยป: Frank Benjamin Hurt represents activity: He plays, knows, and develops tennis; his round-rimmed glasses and undiminished hairline protrude from the tenor ranks of the Men's Glee Club; he advises a fraternity and is a conscien- tious student-professor of Political Science; he speaks and ambu- lates with one hand thrust in his coat pocket. With the other he speaks to you. He represents tradition: A tradition of "say-now" intellect and a well-dressed appearance-even with the age-old jokes which require a laugh; and yes, with the famous purple tie. He is one of the first men ahout whom alumni ask when they return. Finally, and especially, he represents personality: In some way, a unique personality. His thoughts often hesitate on his tongue; but he remembers your hometown, your parents; and comments on your excellent choice of companion at the last dance. He is deeply interested in your future plans, and in your development as a responsible individual in today's society. Thus, it is with unanimous and sincere appreciation for his being an activity, a tradition, and a personality, that we dedicate the 1956 ALOHA to Frank Benjamin Hurt-a friend indeed.
