The Raggedy Bear
There is a boy inside that man--
Hhave see~ him many times before.
Ae begs with the passion of a child
Hn~ sleeps content, with a child's angelic smile. .
e IS aloof and pouty when he is not the center of attention.
He can pitch a fit just like the little boy who cannot have
o the red fire engine in the store window,
Hnly .he react.s more subtly now. . '
e st.l11has hIS toys, more expenSIve though they may be,
And If! searched thoroughly, Ibet Icould even find the
raggedy bear
~e carried when he was six.
He IS grown up today, but he stiIl needs a mother's nurturing
touch--
Someone to help him along and be there unconditional.ly,
Someone like the raggedy bear he held when he was SIX.
