Sitting Indian
style on the floor,
the cold, white light
bulb frosting my features
in manufactured illumination.
My hand's covered in frosting.
I lick the sticky tip
of each finger clean. Next,
a slice of cheese with
hot sauce on top. Oh, cheese-
cheese-, cheese-, cheesecake!
One spoonful, two, then
peanutbutrerapplebutter
butterontoast, toasted, roasted
sunflower seeds. Someone
made red beans and ramen and
they're all mine
(but not really).
