Benzedrine 34

                         HARRIS FELDMAN

the metronome of desire

opening its wet mouth of singing phosphorus

allowing to escape a squadron of hypnotic bats
PILLAGED

the useless lustful frog

                               who
       (when he died)

ATE of the fragrant dung of the asvattha

and rose to the depths of hell

after the morning had shaken its fungus hands

                          into his hair

AND as he floated

                         across the green manure field
and purple perfume of the air

                          FLUTTERED

down upon HIM

               like an orange dog

which

       contributing to the humus
ate the bitter grass

                   AND VOMITED

       tenthousand doilies of the world
