CLASSROOM SCIENTISTS
College President Robert Chambers (right) introduced new
biology and chemistry faculty at the Alumni Council's
spring business meeting: Randall Morrison is studying pig-
ment cells in zebra fish to understand the progression and
potential treatment for skin cancer; Ralene Mitschler dis-
covered a new species of microscopic parasite in the course
of her research efforts with organisms related to those that
cause malaria; and chemistry lab instructor Marilyn
Kroeger Smith has spent 20 years researching the molecu-
lar aspects of drug design at the National Cancer Institute.
