This organization interacts with the DeafCommunity of We stern Maryland College and raises awareness on the campus about issues faced by the Deaf Community. This year, 50S held a holiday party for deaf children in the area and also participated in Deaf Awareness Week (March 26-30). The mission of ASAP (AIDS Support Awareness and Prevention) is to create awareness and to educate the WMC student body on the dangers of AIDS. Additionally, ASAP promotes safe and responsible behavior in order to prevent the spread of AIDS. Supporting people with AIDS and its ongoing research is also a goal of this organization. In November, ASAP sponsored the AIDS quilt displayed in Ensor and held a World AIDS Day program. The group will be participating in the AIDS Walk on April 1,2001. ~ ~
