Argonauts The Argonauts is the honor society of Western Maryland College. It has three purposes: (1) to promote scholarship on the Hill, (2) to recognize those who attain high scholastic standing, and (3) to bring about a fellowship of the scholars of the various depart- ments. Members are selected by the society's five faculty advisors from a group that in- cludes the upper 10% of the junior class and the upper 15% of the senior class. Keith Lawson, Jeff Gates, Beth Lengyel, Pat Holt, Nancy Maitland, Pam Hudson, Steve Kousouris, Amy Turner, Peter Agoris, Scott Beam. Art Club The Art Club helps support the fine arts at WMC by help- ing to set up and coordinate campus art shows through its Gallery Committee. Members may also join the Saturday morning Youth College Arts Club. In addition, the club holds social activities, such as picnics, and helps present the ever-popular Haunted House at Halloween.
