The Gong Show A little of that Jan Term insanity carried over into second semester when Scrimshaw sponsored the Gong Show on March 3rd. With the honorable judges Chris Holmes, Les Bennett. and Dr Jean Kerschner presiding, the "finest" of WMC's talent sang, hopped, and clucked in pursuit of the first or worst prizes. "Giz" Barris kept the show moving through such acts as "The Lily Pads," "Mr Clean," and "Great Literary Moments." The Unknown Comic, a Gong Show regular, also paid a accom- panied by such friends as the Unknown King and The Unknown Elephant. The evening was a howling success for everyone involved. 117
