Downstairs Behind The Poles Having survived the freshman flunk-out, we have now surged into the legendary sophomore slump. The class of 1969 has taken to the hills of Harvey Stone Park to escape the clutches of Econ and Amer- ican Lit. After a year of intensive evaluation of courses, the most popular major has undoubtedly be- come the Grille. United in the spirit of procrastina- tion, the sophomore class indulges in over-sleeping, underattending, and a spirit of good-natured fun. Parties are preferred over Poly Sci, games over gene- tics, and the Homestead over history. but let's look at the good side of life. Good grief! lust think, now we can sit downstairs behind the poles in Alumni Hall. At last we know what territories belong to whom in the Grille! The girls have jumped from 2 to 4 late leaves and the guys are twice as happy. Second down, two years to score, goal to go! '82
