Cool parties, cool people twanging guitars, throaty saxophones . syncopated rhythms. . crowded dance floors-and the hours pass. Gradually, we awaken to the sobering realiza- tion that we are not teen-agers any longer. We struggle to assume the maturity expected of us. We do not always succeed, but the rhythm of growth throbs within us.
