IN APPRECIATION This book has a lot of people behind it. Our particular thanks are here expressed to a few of those: To students and faculty who were shoved from one end of the campus to the other for pictures, who were pounded for deadline articles, and still bought a yearbook; To the families of students in the classes of '56 and '57 who, after four and three years, respectively, of facing semester bills and perpetual_poverty, mortgaged another family heirloom to be recognized as "Patrons"; To the advertisers, represented in the following pages, whose good wish-es and continuous belief in the college have made our Aloha plans a reality;' To Rettberg Brothers for an obvious sense of the artistic, resulting in top quality photography; to Carlos Gosnell, student photographer, who supplied us with the majority of informals and, in particular, the special end sheet picture; to Dr. Ensor and Mr. Uhrig for the kodacbromes for the divider pages; To the Horn-Shafer Company, especially to Mr. W. C. Horn, Jr., for patience, countless suggestions, an intense interest in the college, and the interpretation which brings the 1956 Aloha to your hands. 158
