Garbed in trench coats, 'kerchiefs, and high rubber boots, and harried by snowballs, students hurry between classes, eager to get away from Western Maryland wind, and back to warm radiators. Long winter afternoons are spent over complicated apparata in the chemistry labs. Boarding students invade traditional day-hop hang-out, the game room, to play endless rounds of pool and ping-pong.
