One might call the photographs on the op- posite page "A Picture of a Dozen Girls in a Dormitory." But it is really more than that. It is a picture of several hundred girls in the dorm and club rooms of McDaniel and Blanche Ward. Those pictures are typical of several phases of life in the dormitory. Radio? Perhaps. Reading? Yes Study? Sometimes. Knitting? Uh Huh. Loafing? To be sure. Gossip? "And how!" 190
