Abstract

Four ceramic plates:

One 8" transferware plate with of Western Maryland College "Old Main."  Plate was premium given by T. W. Mather & Sons Department store in the early 1900s.

Three 10" transferware plates produced by Homer Laughlin.  The rim of each plate has a fruit relief pattern.  The center of each plate depicts a landmark of the Western Maryland College Campus:  Ward Memorial Arch, Baker Chapel, and "Old Main" Tower.

One 7.75" plate with blue transfer pattern of Old Main.  Plate was given as a premium by  a local Westminster, Maryland depatment store T. W. Mathers.

Three 10" plates  with fruit relief on edges.  Each plate depicts a structure on the Western Maryland College Campus: Old Main Tower, Baker Chapel, and Ward Memorial Arch.  Plates manufactured by Homer Laughlin.
