3. Six pewter cups and one pewter tray engraved with "John D, Nawrocki Memorial Award."
4. Five bronze medallions depicting the Western Maryland College Seal with gold and green ribbon and one medallion without ribbon.
This is the working sketch of the mural painted in the Hoover Library Lobby and was presented to the Library Committee for their approval in 1991.

Ceremonial Spade– mountain mill scene painted on blade used for the ground breaking ceremony for Smith Hall, June 1887. This shovel was painted by students Henrietta E. Dodd, Class of 1887, E. May Wallis, Class of 1888, and Mary Jones Fisher, Class of 1890. Their names are painted on the shovel blade. Wallace and Fisher’s names are also on the handle. The other names on the handle include Emma May Adams, Class of 1887, Anna E. Parker, ex Class of 1889, Edith M. Richards, Class of 1886, and Edith Stevens, ex Class of 1891. Smith Hall, a part of the “Old Main” complex, was named for John Smith of Wakefield, charter member and Chairman of the Board of Trustees. It included a dining hall, auditorium, and a dormitory for women .The building was razed in 1959.
Spade is in the President's Office.

Pennant has the name M. Elgin on back. Two alumnae have the name M. Elgin: Mary Rinehart Elgin class of 1952 and Mary W. Elgin, ex 1910. Green and gold W. M. C. pennant splits to a double point.
The pennant was found in the collection.
Leather hide banner with the Western Maryland College seal painted on it and written underneath is Branche H. Phillips, Jr. Mr. Phillips graduated from Western Maryland College in 1930.

Homer C. Earll graduated from Western Maryland College in 1950. He was active in the Alumni Association and served on the Board of Trustees. He was coach of the Western Maryland College soccer team from 1965 to 1975.

Two pens used in the signing of Maryland laws that supplied state aid to Western Maryland College for the purpose of renovation or erecting academic buildings. Both pens are framed:
Senate Bill 377, (Chapter 576) of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, 1976. Signed by Governor Marvin Mandel. Funds were used for Decker,
House bill 729 (Chapter 759) of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, 1981. Signed by Governor Harry Hughes. Funds were used for WMC Alumni Hall.

Flatware including four teaspoons, one soup spoon, and two forks.
Photographic prints of the dining halls at the college.
Seven T. W. Mather and Sons English transfer ware luncheon plates. These items were given away at a Westminster clothing store. Transfer shows "Old Main."
Ceremonial spade first used by William Roberts McDaniel at the groundbreaking for McDaniel Hall, April 22, 1922. The spade continues to be used:
