This collection includes the historical papers of the Delta of Maryland Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa including two applications for a chapter filed in 1949 and 1977. It also includes photographs of the charter members and sponsors of the honor society; minutes from 1980-1991; programs from installments of new members and visiting scholars; and correspondence.
The collection is divided into four series. Series 1 is the historical papers of the Delta of Maryland Chapter and includes the applications to the United Charters of Phi Beta Kappa. There will be no addition to this series.
The minutes of the organization are in Series 2, induction papers and programs are in Series 3, and Visiting Scholar programs are in Series 4. Additions to these series will be at the Chapter’s discretion.
Arrangement of this collection is by series as described above then by chronological order. Personal transcripts and Graduate Record Exam scores have been removed from this collection.
