The ProQuest Historical Newspapers collection documents the past
in the complete historical backfiles of leading U.S. newspapers, each
with its own unique perspective. They provide a richly faceted view of
the American experience, from frontier days to modern times. All are offered
from the the first issue forward. Every issue is presented in cover-to-cover
full page image, complete with the ads, photos, and other graphics that
put the news in its context.

of Newspapers in Hoover Library
- Current issues are located
on newspaper racks on 2nd floor. Issues up to 3 months old are kept in the
newspaper bookcase on 2nd floor.
- Library carries back
issues of only the New York Times, 1851 (vol.1) to present; and the
Washington Post 1977, (vol. 100) to present. These are on microfilm,
located in black cabinets on 2nd floor.
