• The primary federal organization for collecting, analyzing and disseminating statistics on education in the U.S. Searchable. Good place to start.
• • Statistical trends of elementary, secondary, and higher education institutions. Text and charts describe historical shifts in educational attainment, enrollment, staff, degrees and finance. Online version of printed report published in 1993. Not searchable.
• Chronicle of Higher Education
  • News and information about the academic world. Includes statistics on higher education.
• Condition of Education (NCES) is an indicator report focusing on specific issues in education. Uses a standard to gauge either progress or regression. Annual publication.
