This collection contains nominations for and copies of honorary degrees conferred by McDaniel College (formerly Western Maryland College) from 1869 through the present and Trustee Alumni Awards from 1976 to the present.

Accruals: Most honorary degrees, Trustee Alumni Awards, and citations are received by the Archives on an annual basis. Nominations, information on nominees, and records of special convocations in which an honorary degree is awared are transferred to the Archives on an irregular basis.
