Name: Gesner, Maude (1889-1993)

Historical Note: Born in Oregon, Ms. Gesner attended th New England Consevatory of Music from 1909-1912 receiving her soloist certificate.  She returned to the consevatory for Master's studies in 1917-1918.  In 1917 she became the head of the Music Department at Western Maryland College and retired in 1955.  She retired from Western Maryland College in 1955 and reteturned to Oregon.
