Historical Note: Ida Armstrong Prettyman was the daughter of Mrs. Emma Cleft of Sassafras, Md.  She married Rev. A. P. Prettyman of the Wilmington M.E. Conference and as of 1911 was living in Galena, MD.  Emma graduated from Western Maryland College in 1875 was the female valedictory.
